Noelle McKay (Hiett) passed away this evening,
Thank-you for your continued prayers for the family.

09-07-2010 Update:
Noelle is continually making small steps in her long recovery. Her motor skills are starting to return - she is able to close her mouth. She was able to say a few words on the phone to Richard and Mary a few days ago. She is still confinded to her bed in her home. They are working with Noelle in trying to wean her off the pain medication to
allow her body to heal itself. Travis has decided that his place is with his wife and children during this recovery time, and has taken a leave of absense from his job.
A special thanks to his employer for securing his position when he returns.

Thank-you for your continued prayers.
Noelle & Travis are need of your financial aid, you may make any amounts of donation at either Wells Fargo or Scott Valley Bank

09-01-2010 Update:
What a trooper, Noelle is not giving up, even the doctors gave her two weeks..... The pressure on her brain traveled to her brain stem which normally causes the body to go into a coma, never to return.... Yet three weeks later, Noelle can now talk, while before she had not muscle strength to even close her mouth. Every day is a testimony of a miracle in her recovery. Continue to keep Noelle and her family in your prayers. Any financial support would be greatly appreciated as there is constant child care, and enormous medical bills. Contributions can be made at the Etna Scott Valley Bank.

08-18-2010 Update:
Hospital is trying to make Noelle as comfortable as possible, as she is in allot of pain. The pressure on her brain has advanced to her brain stem. This has caused Noelle to loose complete sight in one eye and starting to loose vision in the other. There will be no more chemotherapy. Her family is at her side with prayers that she will no longer suffer this extreme pain.
Thank-you for your continued prayers.

08-12-2010 Update:
The doctors have found numerous more brain tumors since Noelle's last radiation treatment. As a family we continue to pray for Noelle's miracle healing if it be in God's will, but also are very concerned of the extreme pain Noelle is suffering. The physicians diagnosis is 2months, please keep Noelle and her family in your prayers.

06-15-2010 Update:
Noelle had surgery on her brain last week - she shows signs of improvement, able to talk again shortly after surgery. They were able to remove the pressure on Noelle's brain. She was sent home for recovery. Her family want to express their appreciation for your prayers and support in this time of need. During this critical recovery time the McKay family could use help as there is a great need for child care in their home with Noelle's weakened condition.

Noelle is a mother of 3 beautiful children. Her cancer started with a mole behind her knee. Surgery was preformed and all evidence of the melanoma was gone. She under went chemotherapy, with all the side effects that come with the procedure. Everyone had high hopes with the results, until over the Christmas Holiday (and her grandfather Glenn Hietts funeral) she had a full seizure and was rushed to the Yreka hospital. After scanning her brain they found a mass of considerable size in just 4 weeks. Noelle and Travis left the next morning for their home to meet with Noelle's specialist. The scans proved to be more positive than originally anticipated. The mass was smaller than originally described and was in fact floating, not attached to her brain.

Surgery was scheduled for today December 30th, prognosis is good, the mass was removed successfully. Test will be preformed and repeat scanning's every two weeks. She will be undergoing more chemotherapy.

The Hiett/McKay family thank-you for your prayers & support.

With the ongoing expenses, the need for in home care for their 3 children while Travis works, and Noelle is trying to recover from the chemotherapy.
